Importantly pigments should not contain mercury, talc or carbon.

Topical antibiotic ointment may be used for a few days.

You will need to refrain from applying makeup, avoid direct sunlight, and avoid wearing contact lenses for a week.

Some patients may experience a slight swelling in the treated areas.

You may experience tearing. Most people can drive themselves and actually return to their normal activities immediately after the procedure.

The pigmentation typically will appear darker in the days following the procedure.

Within about 10 days some of the pigment is rejected from the skin.

Follow your specialist’s on what to avoid (such as peroxide) or sunlight. Either of these can damage your new look.

Your new look requires maintenance. Some people have to undergo two or more treatments.

Make sure you understand exactly how many treatments you will need. As the pigment fades over the years, you also may have to undergo additional treatments to maintain the look.
