ENHANCE LYMPH FLOW & IMPROVE YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM

Your lymphatic circulatory system works directly with your cardiovascular circulatory system to keep blood and lymphatic fluid levels in balance and flush toxins out of the body. It also carries immune cells throughout the body to help defend against infection.

But our lymphatic system isn't lucky enough to have a powerful organ like the heart to keep fluid flowing.

Lymphatic system

lymphatic system

Lymphatic system is an organized pathway of lymph nodes, ducts, vessels and organs that work together to produce and transport lymph through the body and into the bloodstream. The lymphatic system is activated with movement only. It stays still when no movemement is present.

The lymphatic system has several important functions.

  1. 1. It helps to defend you against disease by producing immune cells
  2. 2. The lymph nodes act as a filtration system that keeps particulate matter such as bacteria from entering the bloodstream
  3. 3. Produce lymphocytes and monocytes. Lymph tissue contains lymphocytes and other cells that can destroy microorganisms and foreign substances
  4. 4. Maintains fluid balance in the tissues. It also helps in clearance of proteins and large particles which are too large to be absorbed into the blood capillaries, but can be carried through the lymphatics

Your lymph system may become overburdened and even blocked with excessive fluids due to poor circulation, surgery or illness and cause swelling. Edema, water in your tissues, is a symptom of decreased lymph flow.

Restoring lymph circulation

lymph drainage

There are number of therapies that can be used to restore and help promote lymphatic drainage

Exercises. Involve mild muscular contractions combined with focused breathing.

Nutrition. Drinking plenty of fresh, healthy diet, vitamins, minerals and herbal supplements.

Skin brushing has been found to stimulate circulation to the skin and also to help stimulate lymph flow

Lymph drainage massage can restore lymph circulation and drain the tissue fluid that has accumulated foreign bodies including bacteria, cancer cells and viruses.

Lymphatic massage

Lymphatic massage or lymphatic drainage therapy is a very gentle form of massage that stimulates your immune system and promotes fluid movement in your lymphatic system. It pulls on microscopic fibers connected to openings in lymph capillaries. Pulling on those fibers widens the openings and allows fluid from your tissues to be absorbed into the lymphatics.

Lymph capillaries contract in response to changes in tissue pressure. As tissue fluid is absorbed into the initial lymphatics, the walls of the lymphatics sense the increased pressure and they contract, squeezing fluid forward to the next section.

Presor machine moves your skin in the direction of natural lymph flow so your body can easily and effectively drain excessive fluids and waste.

The device mimics how the lymph vessels work by using matching pressure and rhythm, it stimulates the lymphatic pump to contract more often and in a more regular rhythm.

Lymph vessels contain valves that prevent back flow. When tissue fluid is absorbed into lymph vessels, it can only go one way: toward the lymph nodes.

Note tight muscles prevent lymph flow inside the muscles themselves. Lymph circulation inside muscles depends on the alternate tightening and relaxation of muscle fibers. If the muscles stay tight all the time, the lymphatics are compressed and there is no lymph movement. Relaxing the muscles with massage takes pressure off the lymphatics so they can absorb tissue fluid.

Other Presor therapy benefits

  1. Reduce unwanted fat by increasing lymph system function, as removal of fat via the lymph fluid is one of its jobs. When stagnated lymph fluids are stimulated through lymph drainage therapy, the body will generate new lymphocytes to reinforce your immune response. Hormone demonstrated to be affected by massage in the study was cortisol. Released by the adrenal gland, cortisol gives you that "adrenaline rush" you experience at stressful moments. Useful as an occasional stimulant to provide the body with extra "resources" in times of danger or great stress, cortisol can be deadly when released into the body continuously by the day to day stresses of modern living. fat removal

Excess cortisol can lead to adrenal fatigue, high blood pressure, insomnia, poor immune function, and weight gain — particularly an increase in abdominal fat. It is also implicated as a contributing factor in fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and arthritis. Since cortisol levels tend to be highest in the morning, that might be a good time of day to schedule your massage appointment.

  2. Improve Skin Appearance by removing toxins from the superficial tissue layers below the skin leaves the skin with a fresher, rejuvenated look.
  3. Scar Healing by bringing blood to the area and lessens the formation of scar tissue.
